Read Romans 14-16

“Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.” Romans 16:17

Paul is finally finishing up his Letter to the Romans. Here, in Chapter 16, he begins with his Commendations and Greetings. Then suddenly, almost if that One Final Thought crosses his mind, that he introduces right in the middle of these. Now, we can only speculate why. We don’t know Paul’s thoughts, why he added these now and not earlier. But what is important is that the Holy Spirit wanted this Warning included in the Letter. And a Much Needed One at that; the Safety and Well Being of God’s People and the Church!

Did you ever wonder how Cults get started, or a Church begins to embrace False Doctrine? It’s right here. By not obeying Paul’s Instruction! In our Day of Total Inclusiveness (except Christians and Conservatives) you can see it even happening right before your eyes. How many Churches in the last 2 years have embraced Teaching “contrary” to what the Church has believed and taught throughout its history? Too Many! And here, at the end of Romans, we find the Answer. “Turn Away From Them”! Instead, we “embrace them”, make them “Members”, and even “Seminary Professors”!!! The Church needs to Wake Up and take heed to Simple Instruction!
