“In God, whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me?” Psalm 56:4
Notice a couple of things from Today’s Verse. He has a High regard for God’s Word! He did not say, whose word I heard, or, whose word I’ve read; those no doubt are true. But David said, “whose word I praise”! He had heard it, read it, and embraced it, so much so, It was an object of Praise! He also was unconcerned what Man could do. We’re told that the Philistines had seized him in Gath. They could have killed him then and there! But he did not Fear them; he Feared God!
This reminds me of what Jesus said, “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” We are living in Very Troubled Times! May this encourage us today!!!
