“Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the hearts.” Proverbs 21:2
This is a Very Sobering Verse!!! Why? Consider the word “Every”. It includes all of humanity. Everyone that has ever lived, and that lives now, has this overriding conviction ruling his life! And the scariest part? Most Never Know! Thank God that “He” does, and here He tells us so. This Verse should scream out 2 things:
1st, realize the extreme deceptiveness of your heart. You must believe that, or you are doomed! Jeremiah tells us “our heart is more deceitful than “ALL ELSE”, “WHO” can know it?”
2nd, God does; “but the Lord weighs the hearts”. This gives us great hope and if we know Him and come to Him, He has promised to “Help us in our time of need”! May this encourage us to Seek Him First!
