“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not so short that it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.” Isaiah 59:1
This is a striking Indictment against Israel summarizing their state before their God. The Lord had chosen them of all the people of the earth to be His People, but time and time again they would rebel, sinning against Him to the point of utter rejection and destruction.
The same holds true for for us, though in the New Covenant, all His Children “know” Him and will not continue in Sin. As a loving Father, He disciplines and restores us as we repent and forsake Sin. But the Warning is Clear! We need a Holy Life that rids itself of Sin or…We Are None Of His.
