“The slain will fall among you, and you will know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 6:7
This Phrase, “you will know that I am the Lord”; God uses it 32 times in Ezekiel! Without any doubt, this Judgement came on them for this purpose. God had chosen them as His People, they rejected Him and turned to other Gods, so God rejected them; and then they “would know” that He was the Lord. But in the midst of the Wrath and Judgement, God had a remnant He would save. Though the majority of Israel would be destroyed, a small number would find favor.
This is still the Redemption Story of today. The World, like the Nations of old, were always under the Wrath of God. The “church” like Israel of old, had those who “named the name of Christ” but did not depart from Iniquity, and suffered Judgement. And today, there are still those Few, that Remnant, that have continued on the Narrow Way.
Hopefully, you are on that Road!
