Read Daniel 7-9

“In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel saw a dream and visions” Daniel 7:1a

Here, in the 2nd half of the Book, Daniel begins describing a series of Dreams and Visions that he has in the latter days of his life. They are absolutely fascinating to say the least! Many others have thought so too as they have produced a multitude of books based on them. They also have quite a few different perspectives based on their Eschatology. My intent today is not to add to them! 🙂 I would prefer instead to just make an observation.

Now don’t get me wrong; all the Word of God is important and needs to be read and studied. One’s own Eschatology “is” important! But…is the overriding result of your time and study drawing you nearer to God? Making you more Christlike? Causing you to grow more Fruit to God’s glory? If not, then you may be missing the point! Your focus on reading should not be just on the “knowledge” you attain. If you read (which should be happening) it should be about making you more like Christ. Look at Daniel, and see “that” about his life. Seek for that!
