Read Acts 5-7

“As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.” Acts 5:15

Today’s Verse comes at the height of the Jerusalem Revival. Peter’s role has become so Christ-like that his “shadow” falling on those that were sick was healing them. Unbelievable!!! We’re told “Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed.” And yet, in Chapter 7, the Jews will stone Stephan, and in Chapter 8, Saul begins ravaging the Church. So what happened?

Well, getting “healed” doesn’t change the Sinners heart. Only God does that. He may, but often, He did not. Healing was only a means God used to bring validity to those preaching the Gospel. It’s Amazing that many, even Multitudes that were healed, heard the Gospel and did not believe. But this happened with Christ, and it happened with the Apostles as well. And that is the Nature of the Human Heart. The body may get healed, but the heart may still remain hardened. That is what makes Grace so Amazing!
