23 years ago, Our Daily Bread Started A New Series Of Instrumental Hymn CDs:
Do you like a Worshipful style of background music that is non-intrusive, yet still edifying? Well, 23 years ago, Our Daily Bread introduced a series of CDs that did just that. Starting with Hymns of the Morning, they then introduced 3 others with the same motif; Hymns of the Day, Hymns of the Evening, and Hymns of the Night. They have become my all-time favorite Sunday music. We have listened to them over and over and they have never gotten old! Read the Liner Notes of their Series below:
“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” Psalm 42:1-2
“Our Daily Bread has been the devotional choice for millions of people worldwide for nearly 50 years. Today, more than 9 million people use this handy little book, with its timely stories and daily Bible readings to direct them to God’s Word. Some come to know Him, others are deepened in their faith, and all are encouraged to walk closer with the Lord.”
“The Our Daily Bread instrumental series was born out of the same desire to draw people to the timeless truths of the Word of God. Hymns of the Morning remind us of the providence and sustenance of God. Hymns of the Day give assurance of His leadership and guidance. Hymns of the Evening reflect on God’s abiding presence. Hymns of the Night encourage us with His peace and rest. Together, they provide a seamless day of quiet devotion and adoration of our Lord and Savior.”
“Whether the gentle simplicity of a classical guitar, the serene beauty of a grand piano, the quiet cascade of a harp, the haunting melody of a cello, or the rich elegance of a 20-piece string section, may this music inspire you to a deeper appreciation for our Lord and Savior – the Author of all creativity.” ODB
I am currently in the process of uploading these CDs to YouTube. There are 21 Total including 4 Christmas Themed. As I do so, I will be posting them in the category of Music, and the Sub-Category of Worship. I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do!
