“It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.” Revelation 19:8 This morning the latter half of this Verse stood out (I’m including the whole verse to provide context). Here, the Bride of the Lamb, the Church, is being

“Behold, I am coming like a thief.” Revelation 16:15a At the beginning of Chapter 16, John tells us “I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God”. He then goes on to describe each of the

“If anyone has an ear, let him hear.” Revelation 13:9 Here in Chapter 13, we have just been introduced to the “Beast coming up out of the sea” and how “the Dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority”. Now consider Today’s Verse, “If anyone has an ear, let him hear” right

“When the Lamb broke the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.” Revelation 8:1 At the end of the 6 Seals of God’s Wrath, there was Silence! God’s Heaven, with myriads of Angels and Saints, all singing and worshiping, are suddenly SILENT! Can you imagine this? We are told “the

Chapter 4 begins with a Majestic

“But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.” Revelation 2:4 Of the Seven Churches written to in Revelation, this is the only one that has a Letter in the New Testament as well; Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians! And of all the Churches that Paul writes, is there any that

“I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.” 3 John 4 As John writes to Gaius, whom he says “he loves in truth”, and as he hears of his “walking in truth”, he opens his letter with this statement. John, “the Disciple whom Jesus loved”, certainly knew

“Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” 1 John 2:15 As the Gospel of John is unique to the other Gospel Accounts, so too are John’s Epistles different from Paul, Peter and James. If you’ve read them,

“but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18a As Peter brings this 2nd Letter to a close, he warns his readers in the previous verse to “be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from

“As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance,” 1 Peter 1:14 Peter’s Letters are another place in my Bible reading where you can just camp out and fill yourself to the brim! There is SO much to comment on, it’s hard to know what to choose.
