“And He will be the stability of your times, a wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; The fear of the Lord is his treasure.” Isaiah 33:6
In the midst of this Chapter, as Isaiah describes God taking vengeance on His enemies, He makes this promise to His People; “He will be the stability of your times”. When you read of Israel dealing with their enemies, they often relied on Money. They either paid the country about to invade them, or they paid another country to attack their attackers. Here, God says “I” will be your wealth, “I” will be your treasure. Notice too, how He describes this currency; “salvation, wisdom, knowledge, fear of the Lord”. Not exactly how we would describe it, is it? And yet, is this not what Solomon has told us over and over in Proverbs?
So, when the hard times come, will this be true of you?
