“Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.” Revelation 4:11
John has just concluded his introduction to his Vision followed by the Message to the 7 Churches. Chapter 4 begins with a Majestic View of Heaven that comes right before the outpouring of Wrath that we are most accustomed to seeing in the Book of Revelation. What we have is an Interlude of Worship in this Chapter right before God’s Judgement begins to be poured out in the chapters to come!
Now, in that context, consider Today’s Verse and what the 24 Elders are proclaiming: God’s “Worthiness” to receive Worship. And “Why” were they ascribing this “Worthiness”? Because GOD has Created ALL Things! Not Man! Not Science! Not Evolution! GOD DID!!! And again notice “Why” God Created. He Willed It! Everything that God has made has a Plan and a Purpose. You, Me, All Creation; it has ALL been designed by a Master Creator according to His Will. This is “Why” the 24 Elders are constantly falling down before God in Worship! May this Elicit in us to do the same!!!
